Essa música fala da possibilidade do tal amor de verão virar amor de verdade. Aquela pessoa que você só flertou, ou aquela que você sai de vez em quando, ou ainda aquele rolo que você tem há tempos com certo alguém... é possível que essa pessoa se torne mais do que é na sua vida?
Possível é sim. Tão possível que eu mesma já passei por esse tipo de situação algumas vezes. Mas quando a gente não sabe no que vai dar, quando tá na fase de expectativas, é tudo muito impossível. Não faz muito que comecei a ouvir Incubus, na verdade conhecia uma ou duas músicas deles, mas nunca havia prestado atenção na letras... nem no vocalista (rs). Bom, como você deve imaginar, agora sou fã incondicional.
Esta letra abaixo é da música que mais gosto deles, é uma canção que me deixa em paz. Fala sobre o encontro de duas pessoas que acaba sendo mais que o esperado. E o Brandon Boyd cantando é sem explicação, o cara é maravilhoso.

Há pouco mais de um mês comecei a procurar uma música para representar a retrospectiva da minha vida que passará em meu casamento, e esta se revelou a tarefa mais árdua do ano!
Eu gosto de tanta coisa nesse meio musical que fiquei perdida, aí fui filtrando pelas canções que marcaram minha vida desde a infância, depois fui vendo as letras e acabei tendo a grata surpresa de encontrar nesta música dos Engenheiros do Hawaii algo que reflete um pouco de mim, das dúvidas que tenho, das desilusões ao longo da vida, além de ser por essência uma linda melodia.

Esta é uma música que me lembra infância, discos de vinil, um som enorme que tinha na sala de casa e tardes viajando nas minhas idéias.
Nunca fez muito sentido ouvir esta música pois tive muitos amigos que passaram, foram fiéis e companheiros quando estavam presentes, mas ninguém me fez pensar nessa música como trilha sonora, isso até hoje.
Cai na real hoje que a pessoa que merece essa música como soundtrack é a minha mãe. Sem dúvida nenhuma.
